Andrew is still working on the various ideas which we mentioned in the last news up-date with his old friend David Pack - but the longer they spend working on and talking about these concepts, the more projects seem to be suggesting themselves. Both David and Andrew have been busy working with various other people as well, so this is not progressing as quickly as either of them would like! They both plan to devote more time to this in the New Year.

Andrew has finished work some months ago on the short film for the Italian director Giuliano Tomassacci which we mentioned in the last news up-date - the film is called “Here we go again, Rubinot” - almost all the music was recorded in his home studio, apart from one vocal session in Rome. He and Giuliano are currently discussing working on another project together in the future.

Andrew has been busy on a couple of major projects in the past year, but both of them are unfortunately under a publicity embargo until the companies concerned have announced the official release dates. We will give you more details as soon as we get the all-clear from the companies involved.

He is working at the moment on some songs with the songwriter David Gordon, with whom he last worked in the mid 1970s - a project which is developing well, and which looks likely to develop into a theatrical piece as well as a record. He was put back in touch with David after four decades by the actor and singer Leonard Whiting, a name which will be familiar to APP fans from their Edgar Allen Poe album.

On the “Classical” front, over the last few months Andrew has been working on adding the finishing touches to couple of new concert pieces for John Wallace and his brass group “The Wallace Collection” - one for a large group of players, and one for 2 trumpets and piano, with one of the trumpet parts (John’s part) being written for a quarter-tone trumpet.

Andrew hopes you had a very Happy Christmas and wishes you a peaceful and creative New Year.
